Introduction: The habit of watching violent shows is a combination of exposure to audio and visual media which has the aim of being educational, informative, entertaining and provocative content. Aggressive behavior is something serious and needs to be prevented. This aggressive behavior can occur due to overflows and forms of emotions and expressions of child anger.
Objectives: This study aims to determine the relationship between the habit of watching violent shows and aggressive behavior in preschool children at PAUD Fitrah Mulia Bantarjati, Bogor Regency.
Method: The method in this research is quantitative with a descriptive research type. This research was conducted at PAUD Fitrah Mulia Bantarjati in September - March 2023. The total sample was 45 respondents. The sampling technique used was the total sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Likert scale viewing habits with 12 questions and data collection techniques. Likert scale aggressive behavior questionnaire with 17 questions. This study uses the Spearman rank test.
Result: From the research results, it was found that the habit of watching violent shows among pre-school children at PAUD Fitrah Mulia Bantarjati was in the high category, namely 35 respondents (77.8%), and the aggressive behavior of PAUD children at PAUD Fitrah Mulia Bantarjati mostly had aggressive behavior in the high category, 31 respondents (68.9%). The results of the Spearman rank test showed a p-value of 0.792 > 0.05.
Conclusion: There is no relationship between the habit of watching violent shows and aggressive behavior in preschool children at PAUD Fitrah Mulia Bantarjati, Bogor Regency
