Abstrak

Introduction: Discomfort in the first trimester of pregnancy is often experienced, one of which is nausea and vomiting, nausea, and vomiting frequently occur due to several causes, including hormonal changes in the body such as an increase in estrogen and HcG hormones. In this condition, treatment can be done by pharmacological or nonpharmacological means. Pharmacological therapy will have side effects on the condition of the mother and fetus. Providing artificial substances (unnatural) has implications for the poor health of the fetus, this is because the fetus is still vulnerable to environmental threats, especially drugs given to pregnant women, which can also enter the fetal body through the placenta and potentially affect the baby's body system.

Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of giving essential therapy oils lemon, ginger, and peppermint to reduce the discomfort of pregnant women with emesis gravidarum in Hospital H

Method: This type of research is a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, The population taken is first-trimester pregnant women who experience emesis gravidarum and make antenatal visits at H Hospital in March 2022 and samples are taken from a total of 40 respondents. Data collection was carried out directly using questionnaires. Data analysis used the chi-square statistical test

Result: Chi-Square statistical test results obtained results that there is an effect of Essential Oil Lemon, Ginger and Peppermint on reducing emesis gravidarum (p-value = 0.007)

Conclusion: The results of the research conducted by the author show that there is effectiveness of Lemon, Ginger, and Peppermint Essential Oil therapy against the insecurity of First Trimester Emesis Gravidarum at Hospital H in 2022.
